The Bouncer

How to play

Tonight there's a secret door rule: a vibe, not a spelling trick. Work it out from who the bouncer lets in.

  1. Send guests to the door. Type a word or short phrase. The bouncer lets them ✓ IN or sends them ✗ OUT. You have 10 spots on the list, and two guests are already on it to get you started.
  2. Getting carded. ? CARDED means he can't tell if they belong inside or out. Your first 2 cards are comped: free, and you get the guest back to add detail (“bank” → “bank vault”).
  3. Name the rule whenever you've cracked it, in your own words. The bouncer checks it against a hidden lineup of 12 guests: sort at least 5 of the 6 IN and 5 of the 6 OUT to get on the list. You get 2 guesses.

Example night

Say the secret rule is “feels cold”. A player's list might go like this:

  1. snowmanalready inside✓ IN
  2. campfirejust bounced✗ OUT
  3. ice cube✓ IN
  4. watercomped: add detail? CARDED
  5. glass of ice water✓ IN
  6. sun✗ OUT
  • “winter stuff”

    IN 4/6 · OUT 6/6 🚫 Not quite

  • “things that feel chilly”

    IN 6/6 · OUT 5/6 🎟️ On the list

“Winter stuff” let in too few: an ice pack feels cold but isn't wintry. “Things that feel chilly” sorted 11 of 12.
